 How to Recycle

  • Set up a recycling area in your home by sorting your "recyclables" into different bins, i.e. paper (cardboard, newspaper, magazines, office paper), glass, plastic, cans. Take off the labels and wash containers.
  • Call the recycling hotline to find out if your community has a curbside recycling program. (801-974-6902) (If there is no curbside program in your area, it is best to contact your city council members by letter or phone and ask them to implement a program in your city.)
  • Educate others about the importance of recycling.
  • Recycle food and yard waste by composting them into valuable organic garden mulch. (Are you wondering, "What is composting and how does it work?"
